Michaux Hood
Charlottesville native and Tarheel alumn, Michaux met Jen the first day of college at UNC-Chapel Hill, NC (true story). After obtaining a degree in Communications and serving in the National Park & Forest Services, Michaux returned to Charlottesville, working in Landscape Design, Graphic Design, and fiddle playing, before settling down in two out of three (gardening available by request only) and launching Charmed Designworks in 2001. When not researching XHTML 1.0 Transitional versus XHTML Strict mark-up standards, Michaux supports community theatre, traditional and original music, her #1 soccer team, and enjoys triathlon training, swimming with Maxx, sewing, and cooking gluten free baked goods. |

Jen Fleisher Following a family tradition to UNC-Chapel Hill, Jen met Michaux during Carolina's out-of-state orientation (true story). After obtaining a degree in Photo Journalism, Jen attended The Portfolio Center in Atlanta for a Post-Bacc in Design. Following a stint in Chicago with VSA Partners and Viant, Inc. she came to Charlottesville in 2001, acted as Brand Manager for Dionis, Inc. for two-plus years. She joined forces with Charmed Designworks in 2004. When not matching Pantone colors and comparing printing options, Jen is co-director of Charlottesville Yoga School, bass player for Jim Waive & The Young Divorcees, owner of two Terrierables, mother of one Theodore Jackson Fiske, and Rigel dogsitter extraordinaire. |
