Welcome them and then give information on what they offer, what they can expect, how long, how many people/kids max, days offered, if fire truck can come to school, etc. Parking at all stations is limited and it may be necessary to park off-site and walk to the station.

Individuals and groups are welcome to drop by any station. Please understand that all stations are secure and require an employee to give you access. If all units are on call, it is possible that no one will be available to give you access until they return to the station. We're sorry but we CANNOT schedule a birthday party.

9/11 MEMORIAL AT STATION 10
The 9/11 Memorial at Station 10, 2420 Fontain Avenue, is open during normal business hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. , 7 days per week. If all units are on call, it is possible that no one will be available to give you access until they return to the station. (we have steel, face stone of pentagon, and rock from Shanksville – history: Chief Werner has).

Application required (link to application?) Charlottesville volunteers have priority to open seating. DMV Rooms apply with regards to child safety seats if a contest is won, or some other special circumstance – normally small children would not be riding.
