Aligned Clinical and Educational Services is seeking a licensed pediatric psychiatrist to join their experienced and collaborative group in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia as a private contractor.

Services to Perform

Diagnose children and adolescents with mental health disorder, behavior disorders, developmental disabilities, and acquired neuropsychological disorders.
Integrate clinical history, observations, collateral information and psychological test results to determine functional outcomes and treatment recommendations.
Collaborate with other team members as necessary
Prescribe medications as needed
Communicate with health care providers, parents, teachers and/or school administrators

Minimum Requirements

MD degree and psychiatric residency from accredited institutions.
Licensed in the commonwealth of Virginia.
Familiar with neuropsychological, personality, achievement, and emotional functioning assessment procedures used to provide diagnostic and treatment recommendations.
Evidence of high standards of practice outlined by the American Psychiatric Association and State Licensing Board.

Services to Perform

Diagnose children with developmental disabilities, genetic, metabolic disorders, and acquired neuropsychological disorders.
Integrate clinical history, observations, collateral information and psychological test results to determine functional outcomes and treatment recommendations.

Provide written reports
Communicate test results with health care providers, parents, teachers and/or school administrators

Minimum Requirements

Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from an accredited institution.
Licensed in the commonwealth of Virginia.
Familiar with neuropsychological, personality, achievement, and emotional functioning assessment procedures used to provide diagnostic and treatment recommendations.
Some clinical experience or educational training focused on diagnostic neuropsychological assessments.
Evidence of high standards of practice outlined by the American Psychological Association and State Licensing Board.

Preferred Qualifications

Board Certified in Neuropsychology.

Completion of post-doctoral internship or fellowship in a setting focused on patients with neurological conditions
Interest in counseling
Proficiency with American Sign Language
